Hard Coating While not obviously visible from the lens, scratch resistant coating will protect your lenses from minor scratrches that will occur when you use your eyeglasses. Your lenses will remain clearer and fully transparent for longer time This coating is essential to protect your eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Your eyeglasses do not need to be sunglasses to provide full UV protection.
 High index lenses are benefitial for customers with strong prescription. The stronger is your prescription, the thinner your lenses will appear as compared to lower index. If your prescription is mild, under -2.00 for example you will not see the effect of high index lenses. What is Polycarbonate Lenses? Polycarbonate Lenses are made from ultra strong material - polycarbonate. Polycarbonate lenses are best option for mild prescription lenses that could be too thin for rim-less or semi-rimless frames and could break. If your lenses are too thin, they can chip or break, especially in glasses frames that are open on the bottom or all over. Polycarbonate lenses are very strong and will not chip or break as compared to conventional lenses. Such lenses are also 1.59 index and are thinner than conventional lenses. 1.8 and 1.9 Index Lenses If your prescription is over -8.00 you will be glad to learn that there is 1.8 and 1.9 Index lenses from Zeiss.
